ASDI serves as the corporate vehicle for the implementation of the Daang-Har-SLEX Link Road Project (DHSLRP). The project is a new 4-lane toll road of 4 kilometers long that shall link the Daang-Hari in Cavite and the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) near the Susana Heights Interchange in Muntinlupa City. It involves the development, design, engineering, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of the toll road.
In the Economic Managers' meeting in February 2011, the project was included in the flagship projects for Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) program of the government, hence, privatization was proposed. In March 2011, however, the Economic Managers resolved to instead sell the ASDI assets. The assets refer to the completed works already undertaken by ASDI. The PPP plan was for the DPWH to bid out the entire project with the winning bidder to reimburse ASDI for the value of works accomplished. Bidding of the toll road project was undertaken by DPWH in December 2011 and was subsequently awarded to Ayala Corporation (AC) in the same month. On April 2, 2012, a Deed of Absolute Sale was executed between ASDI and AC for the disposal of the project.
On May 30, 2012, the Board of Directors approved the shortening of the corporate life of ASDI until December 31, 2012, consistent with the recommendation of the Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG)
On September 29, 2014, the Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG) informed ASDI that the President, through a Memorandum from the Executive Secretary dated August 5, 2014, approved the abolition of ASDI.
