March 17, 2023 (Bangkok, Thailand)- The Philippines' National Development Company (NDC) meets jointly with the US' Pax8 and Thailand's Sertis

NDC, the state investment arm, has been pioneering industries in the Philippines since 1919.  NDC General Manager Anton Mauricio (2nd from left) meets with Pax8 country manager for Thailand, Kasem Pornananat (leftmost), about Pax8's cloud management services that supports MSMEs globally. The NDC aims to use Pax8 to potentially support the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) e-commerce platform.

Pax8 services Sertis, a leading AI Engine, provides customized AI solutions to leading companies across the globe and the biggest companies in Thailand, including CP and PTT.

The first PC-AI venture aims to use ChatGPT and similar chatbots (and enabling infra) to support the DTI's new e-commerce portal. This model, when successful, can be used by other government agencies as part of the Philippines' digitalization efforts. 

Sertis also plans to bring PTT as a potential co-investor. PTT, the state-owned (and largest) energy company in Thailand, has been pivoting into technology, including AI, to help sustainably transition the group from the traditional oil business.
