NDC moves forward with the Philippine E-Commerce Platform Project

In a brief but key meeting with DTI Secretary Fred Pascual held last June 16, 2023, Mr. RJ Ledesma, President of the Mercato Centrale Group, confirmed his company’s plan to donate the Mercato Centrale app for use within the PECP, a 100% government-owned e-commerce platform.  The drafting of the legal agreement for donation would be drafted next; and other arrangements such as the inclusion of existing small businesses were also touched upon.

The E-Commerce platform is planned to have a ceremonial launch  by July 17, 2023.

About the Philippine E-Commerce Platform Project:  NDC will fund, establish, and manage an e-commerce platform that will allow Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises to conduct Business-to-Business (B2B), Business-to-Government (B2G), and Business-to-Citizen (B2C) transactions.
